I immediately became engrossed in turning pages and a conversation at the table by the Esopus booth and signed up for the two issues per year subscription for $24 – as did another browser who overheard the price. This Brooklyn based magazine is put together by one person (Tod Lippy,) has no ads, is subsidized primarily through grants and features artists you might or might not have heard of as well as a music CD for each issue. For anyone interested in print culture, this magazine exists as a work of art in its own right and you can pull out individual pages for display. Here is an image of my fellow new subscriber and pages from issue #10.
